Our Visual Arts program at St. Ignatius allows all students to express themselves and grow as creative individuals. PK3-8th grade students are able to attend art class once a week.

Students work with different materials and explore varied media, including drawing, painting, printmaking, textiles, and sculpture.

Art concepts and techniques will be strengthened through activities that teach the fundamentals of art, integrate technology, expose children to art from different cultures, make connections through language arts, science, history, religion and math, and use historical art movements and famous artists as inspiration.

Students will develop critical and creative thinking skills while conveying a personal appreciation for art through the creation and sharing of their own original artwork.
