Music for All Ages

Our music program includes children in PK3-8th grade. It integrates many general music components along with helping students discover the joy of performing. Students learn a wide variety of multi-cultural, religious and historically significant music.

Students in Preschool, kindergarten and third grade get an opportunity to perform a musical production all of their own. Our annual Christmas program is a highlight of the year. Every student in K-8 gets a chance to perform on stage and share the good news of Christ’s Birth! Students in fourth grade launch into a new world of music where they put together everything they have learned and begin reading sheet music all on their own!

Outside of the general music classroom, students are offered other musical opportunities such as band, choir and private lessons.

Musical Enrichment Classes

St. Ignatius School offers “Musical Enrichment Classes” consisting of weekly private lessons and small group classes during the school day, PK4 through 8th grade.  Classes available for study are: Piano, Violin, Cello, Guitar, Ukulele, Mandolin, and Bass.

Stephen Weiss has instructed music on our campus for over 25 years.  Several of his students have performed in our church sanctuary and continue performing throughout their high school and college years.

These classes are by appointment.  Mr. Weiss may be reached at 604-7752 or weissmusic@yahoo.com
