  At St. Ignatius School, Specials are dynamic.
  Specials are an integral part of our well-rounded curriculum, enriching the educational journey and sparking creativity, curiosity, and growth. These programs are thoughtfully designed to complement classroom learning while providing students with opportunities to explore new skills and interests.
- K-8 Specials
  
  Beginning in Kindergarten, all Impalas participate in the following:
  
  Latin: Building a strong foundation in language, logic, and cultural understanding, Latin provides students with tools to think critically and communicate effectively,
  Computer Technology: Through hands-on projects, students develop essential digital skills, from coding and keyboarding to research and online safety.
  Art: Creativity comes alive as students explore various mediums and techniques, culminating in showcases like the Loyola Art Show.
  Music: Students engage in singing, instrument exploration, and music theory, with opportunities to perform in school-wide productions and liturgies.
  Library Sciences: Weekly library visits foster a love of reading and teach research skills, helping students become lifelong learners.
  Physical Education: With daily sessions, students stay active, build teamwork skills, and develop healthy habits that support their classroom focus and overall well-being. PE is a single sex class all K-8 years.
  
  Students in K-8 also enjoy daily recess, giving them time to recharge and return to their studies with energy and enthusiasm.

  Our youngest Impalas also benefit from a variety of specials tailored to their developmental needs:
  4K Students: Attend Art, Music, Computer Technology, and Library Sciences once a week, encouraging curiosity and skill-building in a fun, age-appropriate setting.
  3K Students: Enjoy Art and Music once a week, sparking creativity and introducing the joys of expression through color and sound.
