St. Ignatius has a beautiful, well-equipped, automated library and media center that functions as an integral component of the school program by linking information sources with the instructional program and fostering a love of reading. Students are encouraged to use the library for curricular enrichment and pleasure reading.
Grades K-3 have weekly storytime and may check out one book per week. Storytime works in conjunction with homeroom teachers to reinforce student's weekly language lesson. Library time helps to inspire the love of reading and aims to increase reading comprehension and reading ability in every student. Accelerated Reader begins in second grade.
