St. Ignatius prioritizes the formation of leaders by giving students opportunities to be challenged outside of the classroom while teaching core values inside the classroom. Students are altar servers, house leaders, mentors, big buddies, leaders of service projects, speakers at Mass and pep rallies, and much more.
Our school-wide service projects empower our students to make a sincere difference in the lives of others. We teach students to appreciate the God-given dignity of all people and to see service as a privilege rather than an obligation.
Our hope is that each student graduates with a sense of compassion for others, an appreciation for justice, and an innate desire to serve and lead. Our 8th Grade Blazer Mass and Ceremony is one of the most special times of the year. It's when our 8th graders receive their blazers, an outward symbol of their leadership position and reminder than their responsibility lies within them.
"A leader is one who knows the way, goes the way, and shows the way," - John C. Maxwell
