Faith Formation

Our children practice their faith everyday in all classes. Students have a firsthand experience on how the Catholic faith permeates all areas of life from language, science, history, art, music, extracurricular activities and more. 

All faculty exemplifies our Catholic values. Knowing that our core beliefs are echoed in every interaction is invaluable to our children's moral and spiritual growth. 

All 2K-8th grade Impalas receive formal Theology curriculum every, single day. Our religion classes are designed to foster a deep understanding of Catholic doctrine, including topics such as traditions, Bible study and social justice. 

Additionally, kindergarten- 8th grade students attend Adoration every Tuesday. Younger Impalas are gifted an "Adoration Journal" to help teach them the art of adoring. Older Impalas love their quiet time with the sacrament. Building in weekly time for solo prayer and reflection is fundamental for our faith formation.

Students in 2nd-8th grade are exposed to quarterly Reconciliation opportunities on campus. 

A St. Ignatius student who attends from kindergarten- 8th grade will have attended Mass over 300 times with their piers. Students attend Mass every Friday as a whole school body and each Holy  Day of Obligation that falls on a school day. 

Sacramental preparation is written into our curriculum. 2nd grade sacraments of First Penance and First Holy Communion are truly monumental to our students. Students love sharing these big moments with their friends, family, school family and parish family. The first school Mass after 2nd grade receives First Holy Communion is one of the proudest days in their student life, as they are able to walk with the older students to receive Jesus.

Students of all faiths are welcomed and encouraged to share the insights and traditions of their own faith.
