Brief Bio:

Son of a prince in northern Italy but gave up royal life; was training to be a soldier until he convinced his dad of a higher vocation; Jesuit seminarian; died at age 23 as a result of ministering to plague victims in Rome: his eyes were fixed on the crucifix he held in his hands, and as he tried to pronounce the name of Jesus he died; patron of teens.
